Since its establishment in 1992, our company has been engaged in the production of plastic play balls. These products are manufactured using the most modern rotational molding technology, similar to a few of our European competitors. These play balls are well-known products in both domestic and export markets.
The KOGELAN® sports balls briefly introduced in the company overview were developed approximately 20 years ago. This represents an extremely broad product range (with ongoing new product developments) and offers unique advantages for sports activities. Market research and product introduction are still ongoing.
As a reference for these products, it is worth mentioning that export demand is steadily approaching—and in some cases exceeding—domestic sales (Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Romania, etc.).
The most significant events of the market penetration in Hungary are presented below in chronological order:
1995
MTV (Hungarian Television): “Delta” (an educational program) – “Pattog a labda” (Bouncing ball) 1995
A 1995 appearance in the educational programme “DELTA” of Hungarian Television.
The educational TV programme which was on air from 1964 to 2009 and covered interesting scientific and technical things in Hungary and abroad, hosted by Júlia Kudlik, presented the production of KOGELAN sports balls at our company in an episode called “Bouncing ball” in 1995. (“DELTA” got the information about the product group created in 1993 from a central chemical research institute cooperating with our company.
1995-2005
Góliát McDonald’ Fc
In terms of the use of KOGELAN sports balls in children’s football, our first main reference in Hungary was the activity of Goliath-McDonald’s FC, active in this field for about 10 years since 1990. In the first 5 years following the launch of these balls, 15,000 Kogelan 4 balls were distributed for kids’ training. Ball types used: Kogelan and traditional leather footballs. Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) – Bozsik programme
The Hungarian Football Federation has organised the management of children’s football (under the OTP Bank-Bozsik Programme) since 2010.
For the football training of children aged 5-13, three types of Kogelan football have been selected: 250 g, 300 g and 340 g, and an increasing quantity (about 40,000/year) are being used.
